Tides of Desire

Tides of Desire

Come splash with me, tango and spin inside

My liquid sequins and the salts I’ve cried.

Come swirl and sway into my dark unknown

Mind and body get tangled in the moan

Of every buried and sandy heart that

Hopes to turn its pain and ache, lying at

The bottom of their sea, to the milky-

Way of the crashing sky—a nymph’s silky

Sphere. The pearly mirror of untold truths.

Swallow it all, taste my sea-foamed vermouth

And let your laughter ripple upon my

Soul’s languid surface-an eternal lullaby.
